How to pray an emergency novena

Are you ever faced with an emergency and don't have time to pray a nine day novena? When Mother Teresa was facing an emergency situation she would pray an 'Emergency Novena' - nine Memorares in petition, then a tenth in thanksgiving. This is also known as an Express, or Flying novena. Like the rosary, you can use your fingers to count the prayers, but it is so much nicer using a chaplet.

Memorare:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petition, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.

Amen.

St Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.

Beloved Mother Mary, please enfold in your loving embrace those innocent little children whose lives were so cruelly cut short in the Uvelde massacre, along with the two teachers who were also killed. Please, please, please pray for the American people to throw away their guns. I ask this in the name of your Son Jesus.
